Sleeping Beauty

Last night when I went to check on the kids before I went to bed, this is what I found.

I love her sweet little hand here!

Isn't she sweet, such a little momma. The doll is Baby Marker. That doll has been almost as well loved as Buggy, her beloved blanket. That was the first doll that she got. Santa gave it to her for her first Christmas. Not long after that Taya decided to do the babies "make up" with some markers. Hence the name Baby Marker. To be honest the thing is a little to "chucky doll" for me, but she loves it as you can see from these pics.

On another note I have finally got a job. The hours are perfect. 9 am until 3 pm. So I can drop the kids off to school and then I can pick them up! Which is exactly what I was wanting to do. I am mostly acting as a property manager for my bosses various apartments. But I will also be helping him with property appraisals, which he also does. So far it is great!

I love this blinkie

It reminds me of when Gunner was little. I use to read him this book every night and be so sad to think that he could be anything other than my little baby...and now he is at least the third or forth faze of that book....

The past week

Yea, it really was all about Gunner! His Birthday was Tuesday, went mini golfing to celebrate, he got his Bear on Wednesday, had a friend party at the bowling alley on Friday, then he went to day camp on Saturday and birthday dinner of fry night at Nana's house on Sunday. Talk about spoiled! I think his D (that's what he got from us and Nana and papa) was attached to his hand the whole time! Over all I think he had a fun birthday week.

Happy Birthday Gunner!

Happy Birthday Gunner! Today my sweet little boy turns ten. I must say I am not cool with this whole getting older and becoming independent thing my kids are going through. Really meaning leaving there mommy!

Here is your list Gunner, of ten things that are great about you!

1. You healed our hearts after Shaylee died.
I have to add a sweet story here. I keep a picture of Shaylee on my dresser in my room. One day Gunner went in there to get something out of my room and his friend, Rachel, went in the room with him. She saw the picture and asked Gunner who it was. He told Her "That is my big sister Shaylee, she died." And Rachel says how sad that is. Gunner's response to her "It's okay, I came and healed every ones hearts and made them happy again." He said it so matter of factly, like it was common knowledge. I have told him this from the beginning and I am so grateful that he realizes it!
2. You are so smart!
3. You are a great big brother to Taya and Gavin.
4. I loved your snoppy dance when you were little.
5. Gunner loves tater tot casserole (Why I don't know) and usually picks it as his meal.
6. Gunner loves video games.
7. Gunner can run a computer better than me and has been able to since he was 3.
8. Gunner's favorite color is yellow.
9. He has a very sweet testimony of Heavenly Father and will make a great missionary.
10. Gunner is very curious. He has yet to grow out of the Why stage that toddlers go through. At times it is annoying, but I love the fact that he has a deep desire to soak up all the information he can!

Gunner, I love you! You are a sweet boy and I am so grateful to have you in my life!

4th of July fun!

We had a blast on the 4th! Cory had to work that morning, but was off just in time to go to a BBQ at my families house. Mom had to handle the grill since Dad had to work. But there was every meat you can think of. We make no excuses or apologizes for being carnivores! And all the salads and yummy 4th musts like baked beans, corn on the cob and watermelon. Needless to say, we ate to much! But that didn't stop us from enjoying the yummy homemade ice cream. Dang, Now I am hungry!

Then began the fireworks! Cory's favorite part. We started doing some at mom and dads house.

While Levi rode Star's bike. I think he wants one for his own!

Then continued at home on the culdesac. Which Cory has named the culdesac of fire. Cory is now the hero of several teenage boys in our neighborhood! And his brothers and their families joined us.

It was a lot of fun! We had a great time and the kids even slept late the next day. So I know they had fun!

Getting ready!

I have been really into hair blogs lately. I have found some cute ones for ideas on girls hair. so I found a twist braid star . And decided to do Taya's hair like it today.

Mine star did not stand out quite as much, cause I put the two side braids underneath and they should have gone on top.
Tomorrow Taya will be wearing little firecracker.

Here is what the family is doing right now.
