Gavin has a very charsmatic personality, EVERYBODY know who Gavin is at his school, the little kids, the big kids, the teachers. I have seen 8th graders walk up to him in the hall and say "Hey Gavin how is it going?" So it was no big surprise when Gavin was chosen to be the star of the first grade play. He was Christopher Columbus. I have to say, coming up with that costume was hard, I mean really, what did Christopher Columbus wear? Even Wikipedia could not give me a good idea. So I ended up recycling his pirate costume, without the hat and the eye patch. And even though he was horrible sick (he had a fever of 101.6) he did great! And you know, he was the of course the cutest one up there! (I'm his mom, what else am I going to say!) So until he wins an Oscar, at least he has my vote!

Nascar Baby!

Okay, sorry for so many posts in a row, but this is my version of a family journal and I am trying to get caught up!
Cory got the chance to go to Vegas last weekend to see the Nascar race. He has never been a much of a fan, but his brothers, Jared and Kyle went and invited him to go. So he took Johnny with him too! And oh no, we have a fan. He came home so excited about Nascar and even tried to convince me that I want to go! I am just glad that he had a good time! And apperantly he know has something to fill in between Jazz Basketball and BYU football!

Build A Bear Fun

For Taya's birthday her friends Jaylynn and Rachel got her a gift card to Build A Bear. This was perfect, because she has been asking to go there for some time. So after school we took them. But you can't let one kid get a lovey and not let the others. So Gunner and Gavin lucked out and got to particpate in the fun!

Taya's Tinkerbell Party

The birthday Girl!

Taya's Tinkerbell party was last week. It was a lot of work, but I think all the kids had fun! As the girls came, the got to put on a tutu, a pair of fairy wings and a fairy "crown" (a headband with a green flower). Then they went on a pixie treasure hunt. Then they got there nails painted and made a fairy wand. After that we did gifts and cake and ice cream. For the last little bit they watched the Tinkerbell movie. All in all it was great and most important Taya had a blast!
